Paula Zdovc is pleased to announce that the salon is now offering two more advanced services.
The first is Manual Lymphatic Drainage, a massage that assits the movement of lymphatic fluid in the body’s tissues. This system of massage techniques has been developed over the past 60 years, incorporating both art and science into an effective treatment known as the Vodder method.
The lymphatic system is a primitive method of moving fluid through the body of animals. It is, however, an evolutionary marvel when closely examined. Every cell in the body must be supplied with nutrition, oxygen, hormones, water, essential ions, and other material. The metabolic process requires not only the delivery of these essentials, but also the removal of their byproducts as waste. The task of the lymphatic system is to remove these waste products and return them to the blood stream where, they may be recycled or destroyed. Unfortunately, as we age, our lymphatic system gets sluggish and needs to be activated. That help is produced by manual lymphatic drainage (MLD). Contrary to what you might expect, MLD has a calming effect on the sympathetic nervous system. This means that after proper application of MLD, clients become calmer and more relaxed. Some even fall asleep during treatment! This is perfect, since many women come to the esthetician just to enjoy an hour of relaxation. Their pleasure is increased by the effect of MLD.

In business for since 1999, Donna offers one hour and ½ hour massages. Swedish, deep tissue and sports related massage available. Rate is $60.00 per hour and $35 per ½ hour.
